FA Cup Final, Arsenal vs. Hull City final score: Gunners win title over Hull with 3-2 win

On Saturday afternoon, Arsenal squared off against Hull City in the FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium in London. Hull City was a heavy underdog heading in to the game, but no one seemed to tell them because they put together an impressive performance for the fans.
Arsenal was looking for their first trophy in nine years, while Hull City was hoping to win their first ever FA Cup title.
In a thrilling game that went into extra time, it was Arsenal who got to raise the trophy thanks to a 3-2 win. The game-winning goal from Ramsey off of a beautiful assist from Giroud was something for the highlight reels.
Hull City shocked The Gunners in the fourth minute when James Chester beat Lukasz Fabianski for the game’s first goal.
Just a few short minutes later, Curtis Davies scored a second goal for Hull City to put them up 2-0 with a goal that left Arsenal wondering where things went wrong.
However, Arsenal was a composed squad and showed why they were viewed as the favorite by regrouping and coming back with a quality attack that left everyone remembering why they were the favorites coming in to the match.
In the 17th minute, Santi Cazorla got Arsenal on the board with their first goal of the game to narrow the deficit to one goal entering the half.
When the second half kicked off, Arsenal and Hull City were going back and forth before Laurent Koscielny came up big for The Gunners for the team’s second goal that brought them even with Hull City.
Arsenal controlled the ball throughout the final few minutes of the game as they managed to mount some threatening attacks, but they were unable to break through for the game-winning goal despite the five added minutes of stoppage time which sent the FA Cup Final to extra time for the first time since 2007.
Hull was unable to retain possession in the extra time, which forced them to buckle down on the defensive side of the field and attempt to hold off Arsenal with the hope of reaching penalty kicks.
Unfortunately for Hull City, Arsenal kept the pressure on and they were able to break through in the final few minutes with a slick heel pass from Olivier Giroud to Aaron Ramsey who put the ball into the back of the net to give Arsenal a 3-2 lead in the 109th minute.
Hull City had one final opportunity to tie up the game and they couldn’t have asked for a better chance.
With a wide open net after Fabianski misplayed the ball, Hull City game up just wide and Arsenal was able to breath a sigh of relief.
