The Indiana Pacers are taking it to the Miami Heat in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Finals matchup and it’s something we did not expect to be seeing. While Indiana is without a doubt the second best team in the East, they hardly looked the part on their road to the Conference Finals and have now suddenly taken everyone by surprise with this performance in Game 1.

One player that knows the taste of defeat against the Miami Heat, has been coming all out at Miami this afternoon and is leading the charge for a Pacers team that has been awoken from whatever slumber it was in previously. West has been all over the place in Game 1 for the Pacers and one of his finest plays came in the third quarter when he went to work on Chris Bosh down-low.

West and the Pacers aren’t favored in the series but they now haste been given the credit they were looking for all postseason long. They may not win the series, but they’re off to a great start and if David West and company can keep this up, there’s no saying this series can’t go a full seven games again.
