NBA Rumors: Suns, Warriors expected to make trade offers for Kevin Love
By Josh Hill
The future of Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love is no doubt in flux as the team is open to listing to trade offers for their All-Star for what seems like the first time ever. Before, any notion that the Wolves would trade Love was laughed off by management but with his early termination option looming next summer, the Wolves seem to be getting serious about a potential trade.
Other teams around the NBA can smell the blood in the water and are circling Minnesota to try and get a chance at trading for and the signing Kevin Love long-term. While we’ve heard about the Lakers, Knicks and Celtics in the past, the Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns are new additions to the ver grown list of team interested in Love.
"The Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns are among many teams determined to make hard runs at trades for Love, league sources said. Boston and Los Angeles plan to make high-lottery picks in the 2014 NBA Draft available in offers for Love, sources said."
Both teams seem to make sense for Love but he’ll need to be willing to sign long-term in either market before a trade is complete. Phoenix is armed with four first-round draft picks and could easily package them to acquire Love, while the Warriors would have to give up assets like Harrison Barnes to acquire Love.
Either way, it appears that there is growing interest in Kevin Love and now that he’s likely to be made available for a trade this summer, more and more teams will get in line to offer up a trade.
