After Tuesday night’s NBA Draft Lottery, many NBA executives expect there to be a “pre-draft trading spree.” At the top of nearly every team’s wish list is Minnesota Timberwolves’ star power forward Kevin, who will enter the final year of his contract next season.

Several teams have tried to trade for Love in the past and he is reportedly “intrigued” by playing for the Chicago Bulls and Golden State Warriors (although it doesn’t really look like either team has the ammo to land him at the moment).

Tuesday’s NBA Draft Lottery won’t do much for those teams, but it could set up others to make a big time move in the offseason.

However, there a few teams with several extra assets, namely the Boston Celtics and Phoenix Suns (the Los Angeles Lakers to possess the tools that those to do) and if the lottery shakes out their way, those assets could wind up eventually being enough to pry love away, says Sean Deveney of Sporting News.

"Then came the weekend revelation that had seemed destined for the past year or so—Minnesota star Kevin Love, slated to be a free agent in 2015, informed the team that he will not sign an extension, setting up a trade sweepstakes in which Love is the prize. That sweepstakes will begin in earnest on Tuesday night when the draft order is set and teams with an interest in Love will finally know just what assets they can offer for him."

Love averaged 26.1 points, 12.5 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game this season.
