Before Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and his rival Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal faced off on Saturday night in the main event of Bellator 120, they had a mini scuffle at the weigh-ins when Rampage shoved King Mo and began to jaw at him.

The inability to control his emotions at the weigh-ins have now caused Rampage to give up a portion of his purse from the event.

According to MMA Fighting, the Mississippi Athletic Commission fined Jackson $10,000 for physical misconduct and nearly pulled him from the card.

The report states that Rampage was getting out of control backstage after the weigh-ins and he became “out of control individual to the nth degree” after learning of the fine. Jackson was cursing at the athletic commission and spiraling out of control before eventually getting a level head.

Ultimately, the commission decided against pulling Rampage from the event, which is good news for Bellator.

Had Rampage been pulled for misconduct, it would have been the third pay-per-view headliner to fall through in two events. The previous headliners — Rampage vs. Tito Ortiz and Eddie Alvarez vs. Michael Chandler — were called off due to injury.

The good news for Rampage is that he went on to win in the main event by way of a very controversial decision.
