The Boston Red Sox re-signed shortstop Stephen Drew yesterday to a $10.2 million/one-year contract. It was pretty big in most major news outlets yesterday, including Yahoo.com. But when Yahoo posted a story about it, they made a slight mistake with their featured image.

They mistook Will Middlebrooks for Drew.

Yes, pictured above is not Stephen Drew. It is in fact Will Middlebrooks. Middlebrooks plays third base for the Red Sox. Drew is the shortstop.

I mean, they are both white guys with beards, so I can see how it could get confusing, Yahoo.

For the record, this is what Drew looks like:

Drew is returning to the Red Sox after rejecting around $14 million at the end of last season. His hold out will now cost him $4 million. Middlebrooks on the other hand is only making $540,000 in his pre-arbitration years.

Maybe the Red Sox could send some of that extra $4 million his way.
