Philadelphia 76ers Center Nerlens Noel to debut during Summer League
By Aaron Blue
While the Philadelphia 76ers front office is looking for the next great young player to add to the roster, one of their selections in last year’s draft is preparing to suit up for the first time. Sixers’ GM Sam Hinkie revealed Thursday that Nerlens Noel will make his debut as a Sixer in the Summer League in July. Chris Vito of the Delaware County Daily Times shared the news via Twitter.
Nerlens Noel was selecting 6th overall in the 2013 NBA draft and was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in a move that brought Jrue Holiday to the New Orleans Pelicans. Noel was expected to be considered for the top pick in the draft before tearing his ACL as a member of the Kentucky Wildcats. The young center spent the entire 2013-14 season rehabbing his knee, but will be expected to go full strength during the games in July.
