If you aren’t familiar with San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich, he isn’t necessarily a big fan of interviews. His in-game interviews with sideline reporters have become the things of legend for their brevity and resulting hilarity

Game Three of the Western Conference Finals was no different.

TNT’s David Aldridge was given the task of trying to gain some insight from Popovich and it was another classic interview.

“Pop, how do you think your starters responded to the change in line up from Oklahoma City,” Aldridge asks.

“Fine,” Popovich answers.

Aldridge bravely presses forward with the interview after a somewhat awkward pause. It looked like he was deciding whether to ask another question or not, maybe getting teased in his ear piece, maybe planning his escape route.

But ask another question he did.

“How was the pace consistently in the first quarter for you? Was it what you wanted?” Aldridge asks.

“Yes it was,” Popovich responds with.

A grand total of four words to two questions. Aldridge says “thank you.”

Popovich then gives his lengthy line of the whole night, “It’s been a pleasure David.”

More words in that one line than in his responses to the two basketball related questions.
