The FIBA World Cup is this summer and with it comes a pitting together of the world’s best basketball players representing their home countries. NBA players will be dispersing all across the world to try and bring home a World Cup to their native counties and one of those players heading over is Washington Wizards forward Kevin Seraphin.
France will have a host of talent players to tout at the World Cup, but having Seraphin will no doubt make them even better than they already were going to be. Seraphin talked about his decision to join the French national team to CSNWashington on Monday afternoon.
"“At the end of the day, my mindset is everything I do I try to do [without] regret because regret is one of the worst feelings,” Seraphin said. “No regret. I’m happy for them what they did last summer."
Team USA will no doubt be the favorite to win the World Cup, as they will be boasting an impressive roster of stars should they chose to accept the invitation to join the roster. LeBron James may end up skipping the event if the Heat go deeper into the postseason and win a third straight title, but the likes of Carmelo Anthony, Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant are expected to be on the roster.
For France, Seraphin will headline the French roster along with Tony Parker, assuming he joins rank after this playoff run by the Spurs. Either way, the roster of talent on the World Cup rosters is growing and that’s going to provide plenty of excellent entertainment over the summer.
