The most notorious bicycle race of the year went down yesterday; the 71st Tour of Somerville. Okay, so maybe this is not the Tour de France and you have likely never heard of this race, but the finale will leave your gut hurting from laughter.
New Jersey’s Noah Granigan finished first in the junior race, which is certainly a cause for celebration right? Well, the focus of the race became what happened after Granigan crossed the finish line.

We have seen premature celebrations in bicycle races go awry, but never have we seen a post victory celebration go awry quite like this.
After the win, Granigan took to twitter to celebrate, or loathe his unsavory finish:
Those certainly do not seem like the tweets of a victor. Granigan was not hurt from the crash, but his ego probably took a hit. What have we learned today? Always keep your hands on the handlebars, even after you take gold.
