Donald Sterling cannot block sale of Los Angeles Clippers
By Josh Hill
The Los Angeles Clippers are set to sell for $2 billion to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer but the sale isn’t yet official. But while they sale is still pending, one thing that won’t be holding it up is Donald Sterling as the soon-to-be former owner has nor legal means whatsoever to sue the NBA in order to block the sale of the Clippers.

While there was plenty of talk about a possible lawsuit to block the sale of the team, Yahoo! Sports insider Adrian Wojnarowski passes along word that it’s simply impossible for Sterling to block the sale of the team even if he wanted to.
The key point in all of this is how moronic it is for Sterling to block the sale of a franchise he’s getting $2 billion for when it’s the best offer he could have possibly hoped for. He’s not welcome in the NBA anymore, he’s been branded and blacklisted by everyone with a conscious and he’s trying to refuse $2 billion over it all.
The sale won’t be blocked though and soon Ballmer will be in control of the Clippers. We always knew Sterling was greedy but to challenge a $2 billion sale is ridiculous and proves that Sterling isn’t done burping and spitting up all over himself just yet.
