A’s Josh Donaldson leads majors with 48 runs scored
The Oakland Athletics third baseman Josh Donaldson currently leads the MLB with 48 runs scored.
The team announced the accomplishment via Twitter on Sunday:
Donaldson is also leading the American League 3rd-base All-Star vote. Donaldson has been playing amazingly so far in the season and deserves the honor of playing on the team. Last years All-Star 3rd baseman, Miguel Cabrera, agrees.
"“Josh Donaldson is great. He deserves it,” Cabrera said. “He’s been consistent for two years. He’s done what it takes to make the team; and I hope he will.”"

Cabrera even went on to state that he believes Donaldson has become one of the best 3rd basemen currently playing.
All of this is coming to light after Donaldson hit a home run in Wednesday’s game on the first pitch he saw.
Scott Kazmir knew there would be a great hit as soon as Donaldson went up to bat.
"”As a fan that was a fun game to watch right there. It was,” Kazmir said. ”Throughout the whole game Anibal and I were just battling it out, out for out. We ended up getting a couple of baserunners up in the ninth and Donaldson comes up. You just kind of had that feeling when he came up to be honest with you. He saw that first pitch and didn’t miss it. It was awesome.”"
If Donaldson continues to contribute this much to the A’s, there is no reason to see them fall below the first two places in the league.
