Despite a strained relationship with the company that made him a household name, Mick Foley wants to set the record straight– he’s appreciative of the WWE.

This morning Mick Foley posted a letter directed towards the WWE on his Facebook account.

“The problems I am currently going through with the WWE sometimes feel like the problems a middle or high schooler might go through,” said the former WWF and TNA champion. “At a certain point, me saying “WWE wont’ mention Wade Barrett’s Cactus Jack elbow, starts to sound like an 8th grader complaining that little Susie gave him the cold shoulder at gym class.”

However, Foley wasn’t all frowns. “In the end, my relationship with the WWE is going to (be) remembered for far more than a minor dispute. The new WWE Network gives fans a chance to watch my full body of work, and I will always be thankful to the people who went above and beyond to produce a great DVD in #ForAllMankind.”

Foley’s DVD was among the best critically received of WWE’s productions.

Foley closed with “Besides, all these problems will be a thing of the past if the WWE will grant me a spot on the Exotic Express.”

In recent weeks Foley had complained that the WWE seemed to be writing his name out of history by not mentioning him when Bad News Barrett utilized one of his signature moves, an elbow drop from the apron.

Foley had previously been very critical of the WWE’s booking of Daniel Bryan, comparing the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion to himself, in that the company wasn’t sure what to do with him.

The most recent issue the two had were Foley’s unwillingness to sign a new WWE Legends contract due to the reduced payouts he received for the WWE’s video game series. Former video game publisher THQ went out of business and there was a transition period, with 2K Sports instead taking over.

Even though their relationship had been somewhat volatile, Foley had still appeared on WWE shows sporadically, offering his predictions and analysis.
