Goaltender Jonathan Quick fine after leaving practice early
Los Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick is said to be just fine after taking a hard shot to the collarbone that resulted in him leaving practice early on Tuesday morning.
The Los Angeles Kings narrowly avoided a crisis on Tuesday morning. According to NHL.com, the Kings’ starting goaltender was nailed in the collarbone by a shot from left wing Kyle Clifford.

After taking the errant shot, Jonathan Quick headed over to the bench where he stayed until he eventually left the ice and headed back to the locker room.
This led to all kinds of questions from the media and fans alike if the netminder would be ready to hit the ice when the Kings take on Martin St. Louis and the New York Rangers on Wednesday night at the Staples Center.
Thankfully, Quick put all of the rumors to rest today saying that he is 100% and ready to go for Game 1.
Quick led the Los Angeles Kings to the finals with a spectacular performance in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals where after a tense overtime period, the Kings were able to oust the defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks and move on to the next round.
Speaking of the next round, all the action gets started tonight at the Staples Center in Los Angeles where the Kings look to take an early lead in the series with a win in tonight’s Game 1.
The game kicks off tonight at 8:00 p.m. eastern time on NBC, CBC, and RDS.
