Everyone has an opinion on one of the Cleveland Browns’ first-round picks from last month’s draft, Johnny Manziel. Yes, that’s stating the obvious, but it still doesn’t mean that the opinions of a select few don’t warrant a glance, and we should maybe all turn our attention to comments on Manziel from former NFL running back Eddie George on Sunday.

Appearing Fox Sports Radio, Manziel’s fellow Heisman Trophy mate expressed that he’s not necessarily a fan of Manziel’s off-the-field shenanigans.

That was a pretty simply put statement by George, but then he took it a step further by saying that it’s impossible for Johnny Football to resurrect Cleveland if he’s spending most of his time in Sin City.

Now, as anyone who’s followed the game of football for the past 20 years knows, George is one of the hardest workers to ever come through the NFL. That’s not to say that Manziel doesn’t work hard, but George dedicated everything he was to the game, 24/7.

That’s why it’s not surprising that George is against Manziel partying all the time as opposed to being in Cleveland every day.

He’s from the proverbial “old school,” while Manziel is trying to usher in a new era into the NFL.
