Inbee Park shoots 61 to win the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic
Inbee Park began the day two strokes behind Shanshan Feng at the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic. Feng had a respectable three-under 68 in the final round, but Park zipped by her and everyone else with a 10-under 61 for a three-stroke victory (-23).

Cristie Kerr finished in second place at 20-under total. Kerr fired an 8-under 63, which would have been the story, but Park had other plans.
Park went out in 31 with birdies on two, four, five, seven, and eight. She then came in with a 30 with birdies on ten, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, and capped it off with a birdie on eighteen. It feels good to be in the zone.
A win by Park is not unexpected, but she has given up the headlines to Stacy Lewis, Lydia Ko, Michelle Wie, and Lexi Thompson this season. Those players have been winning while Park has been registering top-10s.
Now that Park has her first win of the season, the talk will include her name. The U.S. Open is in a couple weeks, and as defending champion, she will be one of the favorites.
Shanshan Feng finished in third place at eighteen-under.
Belen Mozo and Lydia Ko tied for fourth place at sixteen-under.
Stacy Lewis and Michelle Wie tied for sixth place at fifteen-under. Stacy Lewis is first in the Race to the CME Globe and Michelle Wie is second in the Race.
The LPGA has produced great champions this season. It will only get better at the U.S. Open and throughout the rest of the summer.
