NBA Draft Rumors: Andrew Wiggins set to work out for Bucks, 76ers & Cavaliers
Entering the 2012-2013 season, it seemed like Kansas Jayhawks’ forward Andrew Wiggins was a shoe-in to be the top overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.

Now, Wiggins may not even be the first Jayhawk picked – that honor could go to center Joel Embiid. However, Wiggins still has an excellent chance to go number one and will soon work out for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers, the teams that hold the first three picks in the draft. According to Chad Ford of ESPN.com, Wiggins will work out for the Bucks out in Santa Barbara this week, then will work out for the 76ers next weekend. He’ll work out for the Cavaliers after that.
Although the Orlando Magic are very high on Wiggins, he has not scheduled a workout with them, likely because it would be a shock if he is still available when the Magic go on the clock with the fourth-overall pick. Of course, if Embiid, former Duke Blue Devils’ forward Jabari Parker and Australian point guard Dante Exum are the first three picks, the Magic likely wouldn’t hesitate to pick Wiggins.
Wiggins averaged 17.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks per game for the Jayhawks last season while shooting 44.8% from the field, 34.1% from beyond the arc and 77.5% from the free throw line. Wiggins is ranked as the top prospect in the draft by Jonathan Givony of Draft Express and is projected to go number one overall.
