NBA Draft Rumors: Milwaukee Bucks value Dante Exum over Jabari Parker

The Milwaukee Bucks could be one of the big surprises on draft night.

More from Milwaukee Bucks

A recent report indicated the Bucks value former Kansas Jayhawks’ center Joel Embiid, former Duke Blue Devils’ forward Jabari Parker over Australian point guard Dante Exum over Embiid’s former teammate, forward Andrew Wiggins.

The Bucks are  reportedly really high on Exum and believe they could move Brandon Knight to shooting guard to play alongside Exum (or deal Knight to Sacramento Kings, who are very interested). According to Moke Hamilton of Basketball Insiders, the Bucks value Exum over Parker.

"Honestly, I think that Parker and Antetokounmpo would have trouble coexisting on the floor together. Young slashers typically need the ball in their hands and it would seem difficult to me for these guys to get the reps that they would require to truly develop with one another on the floor with them. That said, the Bucks would probably take Parker if he were available to them and then consider trading Antetokounmpo. He has a lot of value around the league. Good, good question… Parker could potentially play the SG. Word on the street is that the Bucks front office is higher on Dante Exum than Parker, though… So let’s see how this plays out. Me personally, though, I don’t know that I’d want them on the same team unless I was convinced that Antetokounmpo didn’t have the requisite offensive skills to be an off-the-dribble force in the NBA, and I’m not at that point yet."

Exum measured in at 6’6 and 196 lbs. with a wingspan of 6’9.5. He will be working out for the Bucks this weekend.
