Troy Tulowitzki leaves game with toe injury, gets x-ray
By Dan Zinski
Troy Tulowitzki was forced out of Friday night’s Rockies-Giants game after suffering an injury to the third metatarsal on his right foot. For those who aren’t up on their anatomy lingo, that means he got an owie in the right little piggie that had roast beef.

Tulowitzki underwent an x-ray on the injured piggie and results were negative. So it isn’t broken. But knowing toes, there’s lots of other stuff that could be wrong that’s just as bad as a break if not worse, including the dreaded unexplained random cramping. The Rockies declined to give any statement on how long Tulo might be out of the lineup.
A GIF of the injury shows…not very much. Tulo is running to first and all of a sudden he starts limping. The piggie just gave out on him. Shoes too tight? That can happen.
Tulowitzki is currently hitting .356/.449/.662 with 17 homers and 43 RBI. His stats at Coors Field require a degree in advanced calculus to compute, but let’s just say they are way north of prime Larry Walker/Todd Helton ridiculously-skewed-Coors-Field-stats territory.
Needless to say, the Rockies would prefer not to be without Tulowitzki for an extended period of time. They want that piggie to heal up.
