While everyone seems transfixed on LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony, Josh McRoberts is a name that some have been watching and he has seemingly made his decision. According to Rock Bonell from the Charlotte Observer, the Charlotte Hornets will lose McRoberts this summer as he plans on opting out of his deal a year early.
McRoberts isn’t an elite free agent talent but he seems to be a solid player that most teams will want to at least look at to see how well he fits. He’s the type of player than can probably flourish in the right system and contribute to a contender in all the right ways.
A return to Charlotte isn’t out of the question either, but McRoberts is going to be testing his options and seeing what else is out there before he decides on whether or not the Hornets are the best fit for him moving forward. ‘
