With Thabo Sefolosha expected to move on, the Thunder will have to find a capable replacement.
According to Susan Bible of Basketball Insiders, the Thunder could be interested in New Orleans Pelicans’ wing Anthony Morrow, New York Knicks’ swingman Iman Shumpert, Phoenix Suns’ wing P.J. Tucker and Memphis Grizzlies veteran Mike Miller.
"There won’t be any huge moves in keeping with OKC’s mission of sustainability. The core will improve, as they do every year. The younger guys – Adams, Lamb, Jackson, perhaps Jones – should get more minutes. The bench must be stronger or they don’t stand a chance. We know Presti likes C.J. Miles, and I think they take a run at him again. There are other names… Anthony Morrow, Iman Shumpert and P.J. Tucker. Even Mike Miller. As for the draft, they have many options with two picks (#21 and #29). With such a loaded draft, I can see them using both or moving up or trading. How’s that for a broad statement? We’ll find out in just a few days."
The Thunder could sign Morrow, Tucker and Miller, but would have to pull off a trade for Shumpert. Tucker is set to become a restricted free agent while Morrow and Miller will be unrestricted free agents.
Tucker averaged 9.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 43.1% from the field, 38.7% from beyond the arc and 77.6% from the free throw line. Morrow went for 8.4 points and 1.8 rebounds per game while shooting 45.8% from the field, 45.1% from three and 82.8% from the free throw line. Shumpert put up 6.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 37.8% from the field, 33.3% from beyond the arc and 74.6% from the free throw line. Miller averaged 7.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game while shooting 48.1% from the floor, 45.9% from beyond the arc and 82.1% from the charity stripe.
