Ohio State Buckeyes’ head coach Urban Meyer is known as one of the country’s elite recruiters.

On Sunday, Meyer’s skill on the recruiting trail was on display once again when he landed a commitment from 3-star offensive tackle Kevin Feder, who was originally committed to the Miami Hurricanes.

Feder headed to Columbus, Ohio to camp with the Buckeyes on Thursday and was holding out hope for an offer. On Friday, the Buckeyes gave Feder an offer and on Sunday, he pulled the trigger.

“I had a great experience out here at Ohio State,” Feder said shortly after camp via Bill Kurelic of 24/7 Sports. “It was great being coached up by coach (Ed) Warinner and talking to Urban Meyer.”

The 6’9, 305-pound Feder is from Ramsey, New Jersey and attends one of the country’s elite football programs, Don Bosco Prep. Feder is ranked as the 75th-best offensive tackle prospect in the country, the 15th-best overall prospect in the state of New Jersey and the 693rd-best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.

Feder attended camp at Miami in June and was given an offer shortly thereafter. In January, he gave his pledge to the Hurricanes. Feder also holds offers from the Maryland Terrapins, Michigan State Spartans, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Syracuse Orange and Tennessee Volunteers, among others.

The Buckeyes now have 10 commitments in the class of 2015, headlined by 4-star cornerback Eric Glover-Williams and 4-star inside linebacker Nick Connor. Their class is now ranked third in the Big 10 and 21st nationally.
