The NBA Draft is just around the corner which means teams hoping to use their first round draft picks as leverage in trades have a limited amount time to make something happen. Most of the draft pick talk has been about who can offer the best deal to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Kevin Love.

More from Chicago Bulls

The Los Angeles Lakers and the No. 7 overall pick has been mentioned quite often, as have the Boston Celtics and the No. 6 pick and the Golden State Warriors with not picks but player assets. Minnesota wants players that can help them win now but are mainly getting draft pick offers — so the Chicago Bulls are offering both.

According to Chad Ford of ESPN.com, the Chicago Bulls are offering Taj Gibson, Tony Snell and both of their first round draft picks this year in exchange for Kevin Love.

Gibson is under contract for the next few years and Snell is still on the rookie pay scale, both of which are attractive to the Wolves. Gibson is a budding All-Star who can become the identity of the Wolves plus they’d be getting two draft picks inside of the top 20 to either use or deal for more winning assets.

All of this is moving slowly, as the Wolves are trying to find the best deal they can and right now this offer from the Bulls sounds pretty good.
