NHRA: Mello Yello Championship Point Standings
The Auto–Plus NHRA New England Nationals produced a thrilling finish with some of the most prolific drivers in the sport taking home the Wally.
In the Top Fuel category seven-time world champion Tony Schumacher won his second event of the season. The Sarge defeated Doug Kalitta with an ET of 3.813 (323.27 mph) to Kalitta’s 3.824 (323.89 mph).

In the Funny Car category, Ron Capps won his 41st career event. Capps defeated Alexis DeJoria with at ET of 4.095 (315.19 mph) to DeJoria’s 4.121 (309.98 mph).
In the Pro Stock category, Dave Connolly won his 24th career event. Connolly defeated Jonathan Gray with an ET of 6.536 (213.23 mph) to Gray’s 6.577 (213.16 mph).
In the Pro Stock Motorcycle category, Angie Smith won her first career Wally by defeating her husband, Matt Smith, with an ET of 6.905 (191.89 mph) to Matt’s 7.230 (145.99 mph).
