If you followed the NBA at all on Tuesday than you likely heard that LeBron James opted out of his contract with the Miami Heat but he wasn’t the only player to opt out of his deal this week as out west the Los Angeles Lakers lost perhaps the only respectable part of their roster from the 2013-14 campaign.

More from Los Angeles Lakers

Nick Young opted out of the final year of his contract on Tuesday and already Lakers fans are begging him to come back. Not only was the man they call Swaggy P fun to watch and talk about last season but he was actually a productive part of the Lakers attack — as limp as it was.

Naturally, fans want Swaggy P back and not 24 hours after he opted out we already have anamazing billboard begging him to stay with the Lakers and not sign elsewhere in free agency.

If that’s not Swaggy P’s style, then I have no clue what is.

The bottom line is, the Lakers actually have a fairly decent chance of bringing Young back in the summer as he wants a one year deal so that he can further his worth in the 2015 offseason. Los Angeles could get competition from contenders wanting to add Young to their bench, but the Lakers could offer him a starting role in 2014-15 and that’s the type of role Young needs to try and get the attention he needs for a fat contract.
