We have seen some movement right before the NBA Draft from a few teams the past few days, and one of them has been the New Orleans Pelicans, who are apparently looking to get into some action again, this time by moving Ryan Anderson and Austin Rivers.

On Wednesday night, just 24 hours before the draft was to get underway, the Pelicans struck a deal with the Houston Rockets that landed them big man Omer Asik. Following that deal, there was word that they would like to create some cap space, and the best way to do that is via trade.
Well, Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that the team is actively shopping both Anderson and Rivers, just minutes before the draft is set to get underway.

Rivers has not really lived up to the hype that was created for him coming out of Duke in 2012 when he was selected with the 10th overall pick in his respective draft. Last season, he averaged just 7.7 points per game with 2.3 assists.
Anderson, however, would most certainly be the better of the package as he was far more effective last season for the Pelicans, averaging 19.8 points per game with 6.5 rebounds.
