According to Marc Stein from ESPN.com, the Grizzlies are in talks with the Raptors to send Tayshaun Prince and the No. 22 overall pick north of the border in exchange for John Salmons, and the No. 37 overall pick which happens to fall in the second round.
Salmons was acquired this past season from the Sacramento Kings in the giant Rudy Gay trade and he managed to help the Raptors in their second half surge to the postseason. Toronto originally acquired Gay from the Memphis Grizzlies back in 2012-13, which means the Grizzlies and Raptors have a decent trade history that cold help make sure this deal goes down to the liking of both sides.
Getting Prince in Toronto would be a big upgrade for the Raptors and it would also net them an additional first round pick to play around with. They already own the No. 20 overall pick and getting the Grizzlies’ No. 22 pick would mean they could add not only Prince to the lineup but two solid impact prospects as well.
