The United States is set to play Germany in their World Cup group stage finale in just a few hours, but there are some issues arising in the process. The city Recife hosting the game is flooding, and flooding badly.
How much rain exactly? About 25% of the monthly average in the past 24 hours alone, according to Al Jazerra’s Gabriel Elizondo.
As of now, the World Cup game is still going forward as scheduled, but some think that this game would be called off if it were elsewhere and in a domestic league.
If #GER v #USA were in UK, game would be called off 100% as the risk to fans travelling is enormous. Never seen extensive flooding like it.

There is no chance that this rain storm hasn't water logged the field. Problem is nobody knows because not a single soul can get there.

Not kidding Recife is under water. Will be extremely difficult for everyone to get to stadium hour outside the city. #USAvsGER

[UPDATE:] Flooding doesn’t appear to be an issue at the stadium, it is just getting people to the stadium that is a concern.
At Recife stadium now. No flooding. Can see firsthand the difference between "FIFA-standard" and standard for ordinary Brazilians. Shameful.
