Felix Doubront has been sent to the bullpen by Red Sox manager John Farrell, and now he sounds like a man who wouldn’t mind being sent all the way out of Boston.

More from Boston Red Sox

Doubront spoke to MassLive.com’s Justin Mastrodonato about his situation, and seemed like he would welcome a trade.

"This is a business. You don’t worry about it, but if that happens it’s probably good. They’re going to look at what’s good for you and I’m going to take it like that. Hopefully not, but you never know what’s going to happen. But I don’t care about that. I just need to pitch and try to figure out what I have to do for my future. Nothing to worry about. I’m not thinking like that. They’re just doing their job and they’re going to do what they have to do."

After two straight winning seasons, Doubront has seen his fortunes take a downturn in 2014. In 11 appearances, 10 starts, the lefty is 2-4 with a 4.99 ERA and a 36-23 K-to-BB ratio.

And that’s how you get yourself sent to the bullpen.

Doubront is clearly not down with the decision, telling MassLive.com “This sucks when you don’t know what to do, but you just have to stay positive and go with the flow and suck it up.”

For Doubront, a trade to a new team might be the only thing to make that sucky feeling go away.
