According to Gary Woelfel of the Racine Journal Times, the Bucks have indeed offered Kidd the job as president of the organization.
This comes on the heels of the news that Kidd recently approached Nets management about wanting more power in regards to personnel decision making. They weren’t too keen on the idea and eventually the Bucks asked for permission to speak to him, permission which they were granted by the Nets.
As Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski points out, Kidd basically wants to play the role of Phil Jackson for a team, without even having accomplished half of what Jackson did as a head coach.
Kidd spent one season as the head coach of the Nets last season, leading the team to the Eastern Conference playoffs where they were ousted in the second round by the Miami Heat.
