NBA Rumors: Klay Thompson not opposed to Timberwolves trade
Just two weeks ago, it looked like Golden State Warriors’ Klay Thompson was on his way to Minnesota to join the Timberwolves in a deal centered round star power forward Kevin Love.

However, the Warriors were hesitant to deal Thompson and the deal fell through.
According to Charley Walters of The St. Paul Pioneer Press, who spoke to Thompson’s father, former Los Angeles Laker Mychal Thompson, Thompson is not opposed to being dealt to the Timberwolves.
"Trade talks between the Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors centering on the Wolves’ Kevin Love and Kevin Martin for Klay Thompson and David Lee are believed to be ongoing.Although Love is forcing himself out of Minnesota, Thompson would accept coming to Minnesota if the deal were made, his father, Mychal, told the Pioneer Press on Friday.“Klay’s attitude about it is very professional,” said Thompson, the former Gophers and NBA star from Los Angeles.“He says if he’s traded, he’ll make the most of it and enjoy playing with Ricky (Rubio, the Wolves’ point guard), and if he isn’t, he’s fine. Either way, he’s a pro and knows how to handle it.”One reason the Wolves made combo guard Zach LaVine their top draft pick last week apparently is because he could replace Martin if Martin were traded."
Thompson averaged 18.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 44.4% from the field, 41.7% from beyond the arc and 79.5% from the charity stripe. In the postseason, he put up 16.4 points, 3.6 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game while shooting 40.8% from the field, 36.4% from three and 79.2% from the free throw line.
