Since Utah Jazz swingman Gordon Hayward was drafted by the Jazz with the ninth-overall selection in the first round of the 2010 NBA Draft, he has showed steady improvement.

More from NBA

Hayward has seen his per-game averages in points, rebounds and assists go up in each of his four seasons, culminating in the best year of his career last season.

Now, Hayward is poised to cash in as a restricted free agent. When the clock strikes midnight on Tuesday morning, Hayward will officially hit the open market.

Most expect the Jazz to do whatever it takes to retain Hayward. However, according to Jody Genessy of The Deseret News, the Suns are still going to offer Hayward a huge deal.

The Celtics are an interesting case because they are coached by former Butler Bulldogs’ coach Brad Stevens, who was Hayward’s college coach. The Suns and Hornets would also be good fits.

Hayward averaged 16.2 points, 5.2 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game for the Jazz last season. He shot 41.3% from the field and 30.4% from beyond the arc.
