By Josh Hill
The Houston Rockets officially declined the fourth year option for Chandler Parsons on Saturday afternoon but that doesn’t mean he won’t continue to play a factor in the Rockets offseason plans.

According to Marc J. Spears from Yahoo! Sports, the Minnesota Timberwolves are interested in dealing for Chanlder Parsons as part of a Kevin Love deal should things fall apart with the Golden State Warriors and Klay Thompson.
"The Minnesota Timberwolves are still interested in acquiring Thompson in a blockbuster trade that would send All-Star forward Kevin Love to the Warriors, a source said. But the T’wolves also have secondary interest in Parsons, the source said. If the Thompson trade doesn’t happen, the source said Minnesota could attempt a deal sending Love to the Rockets and acquire Parsons in a sign-and-trade."
This is an interesting new development as it seemed that the Rockets weren’t really in on the Kevin Love sweepstakes but they’re declining the contract of one of the potential pieces of the trade. Parsons wold be involved as a sign-and-trade piece, and Minnesota would likely go after the likes of Jeremy Lin and other assets the Rockets have to make the trade happen.
Parsons seems to be on the list no matter what and now Houston is starting to heat up on the Kevin Love trade front.
