NHL Rumors: Stars, Blues interested in Jason Spezza trade

The NHL Draft has come and gone but one player we thought might get moved is still with his old team and time is running out to make a deal that moves him where he wants to go.

Jason Spezza wants out of Ottawa and it appears that the Senators are trying to do all they can to make him happy and get some return on their star center. He reportedly has a list of ten teams he will not under any circumstances play for but according to Bob McKenzie from TSN, the Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues are not on that list.
Additionally, both teams seem to be interested in acquiring the center from Ottawa.
We heard last week that the Nashville Predators attempted to acquire Spezza before he nixed the deal and the Preds settled on James Neal from Pittsburgh. The Stars were linked to Spezza this weekend, as well as with San Jose Sharks captain Joe Thornton but so far no deals have been made.
The bottom line on Spezza is that a trade is going to happen and it’s just a matter of when it will. Ottawa is lowering it’s price for Spezza and they’re trying to accommodate him as best they can but so far nothing has come up in terms of offers that the Sens or Spezza likes and that’s something that is
