After his visit with the Bulls today, Anthony will be traveling to Texas for meetings with the Mavericks and Houston Rockets.
According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Mavericks are “all-in” on their pursuit of Anthony.
Not only that, but the Mavericks will be using star forward Dirk Nowitzki to help recruit Melo when the two sides meet.
Stein wrote:
It will be interesting to see if the Mavericks can finally land a big name free agent, but it is clear that they will be giving it their best effort.
Dallas will just have to hope that Mark Cuban and Dirk Nowitzki are convincing enough to get Melo to leave the Big Apple for the Lone Star State.
