Carmelo Anthony rumors: Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks set to meet with Melo on Wednesday
By Jack Crosby
The free agency period got kicked off in the NBA on Tuesday, and with that, one of the biggest names on the market, Carmelo Anthony, met exclusively with the Chicago Bulls to get the festivities kicked off. He went to Chicago and was greeted by not only the fan base, but Bulls stars Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose.

But that was only the beginning of the recruiting process for Carmelo. As David Aldridge reports, he will continue the touring on Wednesday as he will meet with two other teams that have heavy interest, the Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets.
So next up will be a nice tour of the Lone Star State, apparently.
Both the Rockets and Mavericks have been set for quite some time leading up to the free agency period getting underway to make a run at Anthony, and both teams could definitely use him. Each team has also created some financial space for themselves recently, should they be able to open Carmelo’s eyes just enough to make him choose to play with them.
Still, it’s widely believed that the Bulls will be a tough suitor to stop in this race, and there’s still no telling just how well his meeting with them went this afternoon.
On the other hand, though, no one can kill the momentum of someone else like Mark Cuban at a negotiating table, right?
