The Cleveland Cavaliers are a team that just claimed the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft for the third time in the last handful of years and that’s the first sign that your team needs to start doing something in free agency to make sure next year doesn’t continue the streak.

That’s why it appears the Cavaliers are being aggressive in free agency sand their plans to sign free agents is starting to affect what they do with the roster they have now.

According to Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders, the Cavaliers might move to trade Dion Waiters to make room in the lineup for not only Andrew Wiggins to play the two, but so that there is room to sign Trevor Ariza as well.

"David Griffin said he sees Andrew Wiggins as “a big two-guard” on Friday, which has some execs believing Cavs may look to move Dion Waiters. This also explains the Cavs’ strong interest in Trevor Ariza. They view Andrew Wiggins as a SG, and want Ariza to slide in and start at SF."

There has been plenty of talk even before the draft that Andrew Wiggins might be playing a lot of shooting guard in his NBA career and the Cavs seem to be wasting no time in implementing that. Of course, they need to get Ariza signed first but even if they don’t we may still see Wiggins play a lot at the two-guard in his rookie season as he’s a tall player who can be dynamic running alongside Kyrie Irving for the next batch of years.
