The Dallas Mavericks and their fan base are excited about another free agency and the hopes that they can land a “big fish” free agent. The fans will be glued to Twitter and other news outlets trying to get the latest rumor and detail about what is going on in the Mavs’ pursuit of stars like Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony.

If they wanted to save the trouble, they could download Mavericks owner Mark Cuban’s latest app, “Cyber Dust,” and get the details from the source himself.

From the Dallas Morning News:

"Cuban is using ‘Cyber Dust’ to send out messages and update fans on what the Mavericks’ plans are. The screen name to follow is ‘blogmaverick’ and Cuban has asked fans to not take screen shots or they will be deleted as a follower.“I’m going to be sending out blasts on what we are doing on Cyber Dust, so you can add me at ‘blogmaverick,'” Cuban said on “That will be where you are able to get any inside information. I won’t be tweeting it.”"

Think of Cyber Dust as Snapchat for texting messages are deleted seconds after they’re opened. Exactly how many details Cuban gives away on Cyber Dust is yet to be seen, but it is an interesting route. It is a brilliant way to get his legion of followers to download the app as well.
