Livingston was once a highly touted prospect and was the fourth-overall pick int he first round of the 2004 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers. However, he fought off injuries before suffering what looked like a career-ending knee surgery back in 2007.
Livingston has been attempting a return ever since and finally found a role with the Nets last season. Now, he will look to secure his future as a restricted free agent.
According Marc Stein of ESPN.com, the Charlotte Hornets, Orlando Magic, San Antonio Spurs and Minnesota Timberwolves are all interested in acquiring Livingston and have made contact with him tonight. Both Stein and Tim Bontemps of The New York Post agree the Nets want to retain Livingston but he will likely be out of their price rang.

Nets are limited by what they can pay to keep Livingston after all that luxury tax they paid. Bound to struggle to re-sign him at this rate

In short, if Livingston's market becomes a bidding war, there's little chance the Nets are able to re-sign him.

Livingston enjoyed playing in Brooklyn and would like to say, but he can't ignore a chance to cash in on his terrific play this season.

Livingston put up 8.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists while shooting 48.3% from the floor, 16.7% from three and 82.7% from the free throw line last season.
