According to everyone, the meeting went well which is exactly what Rockets fans want to hear. Not only did Melo leave Houston with a goo d impression of the city and the team hem ay be playing for next year, but he was there for most of the day and didn’t seem to be rushing to get out the door over to Dallas for his meeting with Mark Cuban.
Rockets meeting with Carmelo Anthony concluded about an hour following lunch at a restaurant and a tour/meeting at the arena, source said.

Rockets just wrapped up their day with Melo. Was not the quick session I thought when they left Toyota Center.

Six-hour meeting for Rockets & Melo today including lunch. Meeting with Mavs that was supposed to start this afternoon on deck after flight

The meeting lasting a quarter of the entire day means that the Rockets brought out a hard sell to Melo in an effort to erase the one he had with the Bulls on Tuesday. It basically sounded like the same thing though as the team gave Melo a tour, had him meet with the two stars of the team and rolled out the red carpet in every way possible.
It’s on to Dallas now for Melo and then to Los Angeles where he will meet with the Lakers before returning to New York for a final meeting with the New York Knicks.
