The Dallas Mavericks were slated to meet with New York Knicks forward and coveted free agent Carmelo Anthony on Wednesday. Anthony met with the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday and was meeting with the Houston Rockets on Wednesday before making the trip to Dallas.
The only problem is that the meeting with the Rockets lasted six hours, much longer than what was scheduled. Because of that, it looks like the Rockets’ meeting will cut short Carmelo’s meeting with the Mavericks. A some what brilliant move by Houston, intentional or not, to affect the meeting of their in-state rivals.
Six-hour meeting for Rockets & Melo today including lunch. Meeting with Mavs that was supposed to start this afternoon on deck after flight

Carmelo Anthony, I'm told, has landed in Dallas and will soon meet with the Mavericks after six-hour courtship earlier today in Houston

Carmelo won't be in Dallas long. I was told he has a flight out of Dallas to Los Angeles tonight so he can meet with the #Lakers tomorrow.

The Mavericks aren’t giving Anthony tours of their facilities, instead electing to host the meeting at a “private” and “undisclosed” location, so that could help them save some time.
Mavs, in contrast to Bulls & Rockets, opting for low-key approach. Secret location for meeting; Mark Cuban determined to thwart "paparazzi"

Pretty sure Mavs/Melo meeting is at private location, but we've got 2-man media stakeout at AAC just in case. Plus, what else we have to do?

No confirmation yet, but it doesn't appear that Melo meeting with Mavericks will happen at AAC. More likely someone's house (Dirk/Cubes?)

#Mavs meeting Melo at an undisclosed location. Of course the meeting is going well. Don't ALL meetings with free agents go well?

Wasted my time hanging at the AAC waiting on Melo to show up. The meeting is probably at Dirk's or Cuban's house.
