The Detroit Pistons haven’t been heard much from on the free agent market thus far but they are nevertheless interested in making some waves with the players they seem to be interested in. The list isn’t long, in fact there really only seems to be one player they are chasing at the moment, but Isaiah Thomas continues to look more and more likely to be headed to the Motor City this season.

More from Detroit Pistons

Detroit showed an early interest in Thomas on Monday and that interest has only grown since then. According to Alex Kennedy from Basketball Insiders, the Pistons are getting more and more serious about Thomas as the Kings continue to be less and less interested.

The chances that the Pistons land Thomas increased significantly on Thursday when the Kings inked free agent point guard Darren Collison to a three-year deal worth $15 million. This marks at least the third time the Kings have tried to replace Thomas which is music to the ears of Pistons fans.

Collison’s signing in no way guarantees the Pistons will land Thomas but their chances just went up and Thomas’ interest in Detroit likely did as well.
