With NBA Free Agency in full swing, we’re starting to hear rumors left  and right about players going to teams via signings or trades. Sometimes we see both at the same time as sign-and-trades are commonplace during NBA summers. Goran Dragic is still under contract with the Phoenix Suns, so he’s not going to be involved in any sign-and-trade rumors but the Indiana Pacers are apparently interested in making him part of their trade rumor mill this week.

More from Indiana Pacers

Earlier on Thursday, ESPN reported that the Suns and Pacers were kicking the tires on a Goran Dragic trade but it now seems that any such talks were completely one-sided.

According to Sean Deveney of The Sporting News, despite trade rumors that may lead fans to think otherwise, the Suns have reiterated that there’s nothing much to the trade rumors that ESPN reported on and the team is still committed to Dragic.

"Suns trading away Goran Dragic, possibly to the Pacers? Not so fast, says a source with knowledge of the talks.“No, no, no,” the source said. “Nothing to that. The team and Goran, they’re still committed to each other.”"

Dragic was an All-Star in 2013 but was so without actually being voted onto the team. He was one of the more egregious snubs in recent memory but it seemed to have lit a fire under him that helped fuel his rise in the second half of the season as well has that of the Suns.

Phoenix narrowly missed the postseason in a tougher than nails Western Conference and it appears that the team is not at all interested in dispensing of their most prized possession anytime soon.
