The Dallas Mavericks were set to meet with New York Knicks forward and coveted free agent Carmelo Anthony on Wednesday after he met with the Houston Rockets. That meeting went late, shortening the amount of time the Mavericks got to make their sales pitch.

The Mavericks meeting with Carmelo lasted less than three hours, considerably shorter than the amount of time he spent with the Bulls and the Rockets. The Mavericks also didn’t have signs outside the arena of Anthony photoshopped into a Mavericks uniform.

Cuban let the Mavericks fan know what happened in the meeting via the CyberDust app, one of his newest companies that allows you to send text messages like Snapchat, with them set to erase. It is the only way Cuban is communicating with fans during free agency.

In the message Cuban provided a little insight into what the meeting was all about.
