After watching free agent Darren Collison move to Sacramento on a three-year deal with the Kings, the Clippers began looking for a replacement on the open market and they have found the man they were looking for.
They didn’t have to look very far, as Brad Turner from the Los Angeles Times reports that former Los Angeles Lakers guard Jordan Farmar has signed a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers.
The deal to replace Collison with Farmar will end up costing the Clippers their biannual exception but the fact of the matter is Los Angeles picked up an excellent player at an excellent value which makes this signing even sweeter for fans.
Even sweeter for Farmar is the fact that the deal includes a second year player option for him to stay in Los Angeles.
Farmar will now fill in off the bench and add depth to Doc Rivers’ roster for what are hopefully two championship seasons he can help achieve.
