CM Punk to be featured on WWE Network WrestleMania Rewind

Prior to Monday night’s WWE RAW pre-show on the WWE Network, there was a promo for the next WrestleMania Rewind, and in an interesting twist, the next edition of the series will be centered around none other than CM Punk and his back-to-back Money in the Bank wins.

Punk won the prestigious briefcase twice in a row at WrestleMania 24 and 25. To this day, he is still the only person to win the coveted briefcase twice.
Now, in case you can’t figure it out, this is so intriguing because WWE has done everything they can as of late to distance themselves from the man that walked out on them this past January. Even prior to the Money in the Bank event that just took place over a week ago, they never once mentioned the feat that Punk pulled off, despite showing a video package with elaborate statistics.
Some will more than likely read too much into this, but it might be warranted in this case. Why would WWE take the time to make sure that Punk is never mentioned, but then feature him on one of the most popular shows on their network?
This is most certainly an interesting turn of events, that I’m sure will lead some to speculate that he and WWE are working toward mending their fences.
