There seems to be the notion that the Texas Rangers are prepping for a fire sale at the trade deadline this year as they’ve sunk to the depths of the AL West and have done so in pretty shocking fashion. It’s been bad break after bad break for the Rangers and they may try to recoup their losses by dumping fuel overboard at the deadline this month.

While just about everyone on the roster can likely be had at the right price, there are two names that seem to be untouchable for teams inquiring about trades. According to Jon Heyman from CBSSports.com, the Rangers are highly unlikely to entertain even a whisper of a trade offer for either Yu Darvish or Andre Beltran.

"While the Rangers would talk about nearly anyone, Darvish and 3B Adrian Beltre are said to be on “another level,” and understandably so. And Darvish is probably even on a level higher than Beltre. One of the best pitchers in baseball. A 500-1 shot he’s traded."

This seems like a no-brainer but you can never  be sure about a team who is having a fire sale. Darvish and Beltran will likely be the only carryovers if the sale starts to rage as Heyman has shortstop Elvus Andrews on his list of players that could be traded before the deadline passes at the end of the month.
