There are many reasons Andrew Wiggins was the number 1 pick in this year’s NBA draft. One of those reasons was his insane athleticism. Wiggins showcased a little bit of that athleticism during a summer league practice today with a monster dunk.

The Cleveland Cavaliers were so impressed by it they posted it on Twitter.
While the dunk is fairly typical among NBA players, it’s still very impressive. The top of his head reaches rim height and it’s fairly natural. Wiggins didn’t have to put any extra effort into making the dunk impressive, he just did it.
While it seems silly to criticize a dunk, because all dunks are cool, some points have to be knocked off.
First, it’s summer league practice. While players are giving effort to try and impress the coaching staff, they aren’t going to go 100 percent because they don’t want to exhaust or hurt themselves.
We all knew about Wiggins jumping ability entering the draft. We saw it a displayed a few times during his college career. It’s exciting to imagine what Wiggins will be able to do at actual game speed during summer league next week.
