Dallas Mavericks signed Chandler Parsons to stick it to Houston Rockets?

As David Aldridge from TNT and NBA.com points out, the Dallas Mavericks signing Chandler Parsons to an offer sheet was likely as much about getting personal with the Rockets as it was about getting better on the floor.
The Rockets and Mavericks have a testy relationship to say the least and it’s one that has seen more than a few off the court blows thrown at one another and ones thrown on the court as well.
It’s hard to say that the Mavericks only signed Parsons to get back at the Rockets but it’s also hard to say that wasn’t a motivating factor or at the very least a cherry on top of the deal.
