Obviously, all of the talk surrounding the Cleveland  Cavaliers surrounds Miami Heat forward LeBron James and his potential return to the Cavaliers. James, the game’s very best player, is reportedly going to decide between re-signing with the Heat or returning to the team he left in favor of the Heat in 2010, the Cavaliers.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

Although it appeared James returning to the Cavaliers was nothing more than a pipe dream, most of the league now believes that is exactly what James intends to do.

Once James does make a decision, the ret of the NBA’s free agents can make decisions and the dominoes are expected to fall quickly. The Cavaliers themselves will have a few big decisions to make if James chooses to stay in Miami.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, Washington Wizards’ swingman Trevor Ariza is “plan B” if the Cavaliers don’t land James. Yannis Koutroupis of Basketball Insiders reports the Cavaliers are “very high” on Ariza.

"They’re really high on Trevor Ariza. And, they’ve already wined and dined Gordon Hayward while making it clear they’d give him the max (less than LeBron’s max). Those are the two main guys to keep an eye on. They were also interested in Channing Frye, but he’s already committed to the Orlando Magic."

The Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns have all shown interest in Ariza, but the Wizards seem set on keeping him as long as they can afford to do so.

Ariza went for 14.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.6 steals per game. He shot 45.6% from the field, 40.7% from beyond the arc and 77.2% from the free throw line.
